Florentine watchmaker Panerai, founded in 1860 by Giovanni Panerai, has been the source of a number of innovations in watchmaking, in particular the first watch with an illuminated dial, the Radiomir (patented by the brand), designed to meet the needs of the Italian Navy. This was the first of many patents that have punctuated Panerai’s history, a history rich in innovation.

For more than a century, Panerai watches have been worn by the military, explorers and champions around the world, from the highest mountaintops to the deepest depths of the oceans.
