8 - An international music program
Coming to Monaco is also an opportunity to attend major musical events featuring artists from the international scene. When François Blanc founded the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer at the end of the 19th century, his wife Marie Blanc invited the greatest artists to perform on the Opéra Garnier stage. It was she, for example, who brought Sarah Bernhardt for the inauguration in 1879. A history that continues to this day, with some of the famous names in the world of entertainment performing in Monaco's concert halls.
9 - Shopping revival in Monaco
Since its inauguration in 2019 in Monaco's Carré d'Or, the One Monte-Carlo district has established itself as the new showcase for prestigious international brands. But the choice doesn't stop there, as new international brands, as yet unseen in Monaco, will open this summer on the other side of Place du Casino, on the first floor of the new Café de Paris Monte-Carlo building.

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the world's largest hotel cellar is opening its doors to you for a unique celebration, where prestige meets authenticity, offering fascinating tours, exclusive dinners, exceptional tastings and much more.
The new face of Monaco
Monaco is constantly evolving to adapt to both present and future challenges. The Monte-Carlo Beach, for example, has just been beautified with new wooden structures and fine, white sand. The Larvotto beach has also recently been redeveloped, with the coastline carefully preserved. A walkway lined with fragrant Mediterranean plants, new stores designed to withstand the waves and a new-look beach have all appeared. Next door, a large project is just beginning. The new Mareterra district will extend out into the sea, and will add six hectares to the Principality. It will be home to luxury apartment buildings and villas, a marina, retail outlets, and even a pool. As a destination committed to sustainable development, Monaco has made it a priority to ensure this expansion remains as environmentally-friendly as possible. A protected species of Posidonia seagrass was therefore rehomed before work began, and the submerged structure has been designed to encourage adoption by marine wildlife. Above ground, meanwhile, a one-hectare green park, cycle way, solar panels and charging stations for electric vehicles are all planned for installation. A new space for living life – coming in 2025.
