Some say that true tokens of love and affection are paramount! So wear your heart on your sleeve and come to Monaco for February 14—or whenever takes your fancy! We have come up with the ideal Valentine’s Day trip. Follow our guide…
9.30 am
Why not start your stay in Monaco as a couple with a delightful change of scenery... At an idyllic setting in the very heart of the principality. The Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo invites you to enjoy a friendly and mouth-watering moment with a superb breakfast under the majestic dome of the Eiffel mezzanine. Featuring an altogether healthier atmosphere, enjoy a generous, healthy and well-balanced breakfast at the Limùn. A genuine haven of peace, it’s a must for all guests.
11 am
Stay in your own little bubble and continue to contemplate the sea as you head for the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo thermal baths, a haven of peace dedicated to wellbeing and the benefits of natural marine ingredients. In this amazing luxury health destination, the ethos of ancient thermal baths is masterfully combined with cutting-edge high-tech equipment. You can gaze out over Mediterranean from the heated seawater pool, or, better still, sip on a fresh fruit juice as you unwind in the terrace jacuzzi and look out at Hercule harbor below. You can also relax with your partner during a wellbeing session for two in one of the double beauty and body treatment cabins.
12.30 pm
Now you have relaxed your body and mind, you are ready for your first gourmet tête-à-tête—or almost ready! There's just time for a quick little detour, so take your loved one by the hand and enjoy a stroll through the Petite Afrique gardens, before heading for the Café de Paris Monte-Carlo, a popular and lively address in Monaco ideally situated on the Place du Casino. Here, you can treat yourselves to a blissful lunch in quintessential French brasserie style, featuring the finest quality foods served on the sunlit patio or in the warm, elegant dining room. The menu includes a vanilla-infused foie gras parfait with balsamic berries, a traditional minestrone soup with basil, and a praline and dark chocolate dessert with raspberry confit and sorbet.
2.30 pm
There are several ways to spend the afternoon meditating on your delicious lunch: Breathe in the fresh air of the Côte d’Azur as you browse creations by some of the biggest names in fashion, haute couture, perfume and jewelry. Céline, Alexander McQueen, Cartier, and Chanel await at the Monte-Carlo Shopping Promenade. Afterwards, escape to the heights of the Saint-Martin gardens on The Rock, or to the heart of the Fontvieille landscaped park or the Princess Grace Rose Garden. The delicate Japanese garden blooming in the shade of the Grimaldi Forum is also an ideal setting for a romantic stroll. Then add a bit of warmth to the day by popping in to the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, where the indoor pool is kept at 28°C and the outdoor infinity pool heated all year round.
6.30 pm
As soon as the sun has dipped below the horizon, the Principality’s nightlife starts to stir. Now is the moment to think big and make your Valentine’s Day a break to remember! Of all the places that have made Monaco the legendary destination it is, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo’s Bar Américain is undoubtedly one of the most famous. Its elegant, subtly glamorous atmosphere, its smooth live jazz sessions and its signature cocktails have all contributed to the renown of this wonderful bar. Come and sample one of these unique, artistic creations and get the party off to the best of starts.
9 pm
There are so many stars in this town… Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer's best restaurants will pull out all the stops to provide you with an utterly delicious romantic Valentine's Day dinner. Make sure you explore their sophisticated gourmet menus designed especially for you. The only tricky part will be deciding which starred restaurant to go for. How about the two stars of the Blue Bay at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, where chef Marcel Ravin has imagined an audacious and creative Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine? Or Pavyllon Monte-Carlo, a restaurant by Yannick Alléno at Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo? Or Le Grill, and its starred kitchens run by chef Dominique Lory, and which offers perfect views over the Mediterranean from the Hôtel de Paris’ 8th floor.
