With picturesque hills on one side and Mediterranean waves lapping on the other, follow the coast as you discover Monaco and the surrounding area. Let yourself be inspired by the natural landscapes, local flavours and art de vivre that make the Riviera unique.
With a leisurely breakfast overlooking the Mediterranean as you watch the sun rise, and the waves gently lap on to the sand. As the sun gets higher in the sky, relax on one of the many beaches and coves lining the French and Italian Riviera, from Menton to Monaco.
The mix of architectural styles that define the Rivera – from baroque villas in Old Town of Monaco to terracotta facades in the heart of Menton. As you weave through narrow streets and lively squares, you can meet local producers and discover authentic Mediterranean flavours – why not stop at the legendary restaurant Chez Pipo to sample socca or sip a glass of local rosé wine in one of the many bars in old Nice?
Aboard a cabriolet, as you take in the exceptional landscapes of the French Riviera. Head out to the Cap d’Antibes peninsula or up along the Grande Corniche coastal road for panoramic views. If you head off the beaten path, you will soon discover charming villages perched in the mountains. Take in sweeping panoramas of the Mediterranean in the medieval village of Eze and be inspired by the Roman village of St Paul de Vence – which has long been a haven for artists. To dive deeper into local arts and crafts, visit some of the galleries, potteries and markets scattered across the Riviera, including the Saleya Summer Night Crafts Market in Nice.
Sail over to the Lérins Islands where you can admire its famous monastery, the Bay of Cannes and the red rocks of Mount Esterel in the distance. Or simply take in the calm as you swim or snorkel at one of the secluded beaches and coves.
Some of the Riviera’s most iconic sites to absorb the unique atmosphere and history. Cross the legendary Place du Casino, recently redesigned as a pedestrian haven, to admire Monaco’s emblematic Belle Epoque architecture. Stroll along the world-famous Promenade des Anglais in Nice favoured by English aristocracy in the 18th century. Or imagine that you are mingling with the stars at Cannes Film Festival as you walk along the Croisette.
On a memorable note as you marvel at the sunset from one of the many scenic spots in and around Monaco. Head to the village of La Turbie and climb up to the Tête de Chien (Dog's Head) overlooking the whole of Monaco for a stunning sunset and magnificent 360° view of the Riviera.
